Tambobong Beach Travel Guide (Itinerary + Expenses)

by Rizanoia

Looking for an affordable weekend getaway? Worry no more! This travel guide features the best and budget-friendly beach in Pangasinan.

Tambobong Beach Dasol, Pangasinan 1

Here’s our story… The whole travel squad met at  Five Star Bus Terminal and leave at 2am. After 7 hours of travel (including breakfast time in Alaminos) we finally arrived at Tambobong White Beach Rains Resort. I didn’t expect that the travel time will be that long. Maybe travel time will lessen into 4 to 5 hours if you have your own private car.

Their basic livelihood is fishing and boat rental for island hopping.

I was also expecting a wide view of the beach from the room we are going to stay, however, there were too many boat parking on the shore.

Tambobong Beach in Dasol, Pangasinan is also known as Boracay of the North because of its white beach sand and crystal clear water. I got really intrigued so I decided to go here. Above is evidence of fine white sand and clear water.

Side Trip to Cabongaoan Beach

Supposedly we should head back to Manila on our second day. But since it was a long weekend we decided to visit the nearby Cabongaoan Beach and the famous Death Pool in Burgos.

How to get to Tambobong Beach

To go to Tambobong Beach in Dasol, Pangasinan from Manila, you should:

1. Take a bus from Manila going to Pangasinan.

Option 1:
Take a bus at Victory Liner Cubao bound to Sta. Cruz, Zambales that passes through Alaminos, Pangasinan. Tell the bus conductor to drop you off at Dasol. Trips have schedule time. I think 12mn and 2am is the earliest departure time.

Travel Time: 5 -6 hours

Option 2:
Take a bus bound to Alaminos, Anda or Bolinao. Drop off at Alaminos. No need to buy a ticket ahead and there is a bus every hour.
Travel Time: 4-5 hours
Fare: 293 php (regular bus)

In Alaminos, ride a bus bound to Sta. Cruz and drop off at Tambobong Dasol (less than an hour).

Travel Time: less than 1 hour
Fare: 40 php (regular bus)

Landmark: Dasol is just right after Burgos. At the right side, look for the sign board Tambobong Beach. You will also see a waiting shed with few tricycle drivers waiting for passengers.

2. Take a tricycle from Dasol Hi-way

Take a tricycle and drop off at Tambobong Beach or any preferred resort. You must also get the driver’s mobile number so you will have a contact person the next day to pick you up when you leave the resort.

Travel Time: 1 hour
Fare: 300 php for 4 persons

How to go back from Tambobong Beach to Manila

  1. Call the tricycle driver atleast an hour before your desired departure time. Drop off at Dasol Hi-way.
  2. In Dasol Hi-way, wait for a bus that goes directly to Manila BUT it was rare. I advise you to rather take other suggestions on going back.
  3. You can ride a bus that goes to either Alaminos or Dagupan. Drop at Alaminos and ride a bus bound to Pasay or Cubao.

We went there last week, ganda talaga ng water napakaclear, you should’ve have went island hopping because Collibra Islaand is much better. It has a very picturesque view. I suggest lang na kung sino pupunta sa Tambobong, magside trip sa Collibra. We stayed at R Paradise resort, very accomodating mga staff, boat rent is 800, we didn’t pay for any entrance fee, or docking fee kagaya ng nababasa ko sa ibang blogs. Mas makakamura if you have your own car, we were 5 adults and 2 kids by the time we went there, 1500 gas budget for a roundtrip ay sobrang sulit. Buy your own food sa Burgos Market.

Mas okay ang swimming and island hopping sa Dasol. Sa Anda, kid-friendly sya kasi mababaw lang yung tubig. 🙂

Hello!

Which is better for family getaway, Tambobong Beach in Dasol or beaches in Tondol? Thanks.

Reply
Rizanoia February 22, 2020 - 11:54 am

I would recommend Tondol, great for kids they can enjoy swimming because the water is not too deep.
