Everything you want in life is one hundred percent possible as soon as you know exactly what you have to do. It is not easy. There are going to be times that you want to cry and give up and get rid of everything and run away, which is fine, have a tantrum and get it out of your system and then realize it’s not the end of the world.
Life is a rollercoaster, there’s going to be ups and downs. Notice you are in the down period right now but you get to choose what you hold on to and what you let go of. Keep going by all means. Take breaks. Let yourself rest when you feel burned out. If your brain stops working, stop forcing it to nourish your soul and appreciate everything that you have already. Look at where you are now as opposed to where you were 12 months ago.
We live in a fast-paced rushed society where everyone wants everything right now, take a deep breath and relax and realize that not everything has to happen today, this week or this year, you still have plenty of time. Enjoy the journey. You don’t have to win the race today it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Always remind yourself this when you feel like giving up.
When you feel like giving up, here are 5 ways that have helped me move forward when it’s tough and can help you too.
Reminder #1: Good things are coming. Just keep believing.
We have to always keep reminding ourselves that good things are coming. That is why I always tell myself that no matter what I’m going through right now I have to keep believing and keep pushing forward.
The confidence that I have now did not happen automatically. Often times I just have to rise above saying, “I don’t care how tough it is and how disappointed I might be at the moment. I have managed to pull through before and I will do the same again this time. I am going on with my life and I will not let these circumstances get the best of me. “
Whenever we are faced with so many problems, we are often clouded by the problems and forget that good things are coming.
Always remember that you’re only a failure when you give up completely. Always look on the bright side.
Reminder #2: Look at how far you’ve come.
Perhaps you have hit a plateau or suffered some setbacks. The obstacles can become so frustrating that you think it’s time to surrender. Before leaving your mission, take some time to think about how far you’ve already come.
When our world crashes around us, it’s usually all we see. We do not see the flowers that bloom in the distance or hear the birds chirping in the head, or feel the wind on our faces. We only see the problems and forget the blessings we have.
During periods of turbulence, take a moment to appreciate all the beautiful things that happen in your life. It will make bad things look much less catastrophic and can help shift the perspective from a half-empty glass to a half-full glass.
When I look at where I was this time last year the difference is insane but yet we forget how far we’ve come and we beat ourselves up for not being where we want to be. So much can happen in that short space of time and it’s so important that we literally reflect more and appreciate and be proud of ourselves.
It’s very important to congratulate yourself, literally celebrate every single step that you take, every single achievement no matter how small it is or how silly it is, it’s highly important to celebrate yourself on how far you’ve come and the more you do that the more you build up our self-esteem.
Reminder #3: Remember when you thought you couldn’t survive? You finally did it and you can do it again.
I think many of us underestimate our abilities, especially our ability to be resilient and persistent.
Reminder #4: Not getting what you want has always been a blessing in disguise.
Sometimes not getting what we want is a blessing in disguise and sometimes it’s a sign that you need to look for something better.
As you most likely know, in life we need to confront the storm before we can see the rainbow. It would be nice to never have stress or difficult times, but we wouldn’t appreciate the beauty of life almost as much, because we wouldn’t know anything else.
So when you feel you’re going through hell and you don’t see any way out, don’t give up! Continue until you see the light at the end of the tunnel because on the other side you could find paradise.
Reminder #5: Don’t forget your health.
In case you find out the stress is virtually weighing you down, it could mean there is something you are doing wrong so you have to start making your intellectual or bodily fitness a priority. There are all connected– getting outside to feel the cool breeze and workout will improve your intellectual health.
You also do not have to do this alone. Talk to a close friend or family to relieve the stress. Keep going, keep walking forwards finding ways to work on your health because it’s very important. Never give up!
Take your trusted vitamin to boost your immune system while facing your challenges in life. And for me, one of my ultimate weapons every time I feel like giving up is the Ultima Vitamins.
Whenever you feel like giving up, pause and truly ask: Have I done all that I can do to turnaround the situation? What else would I be able to do to expand my comfort zone just a tad more?
Another incredible methodology is to connect it back to your big WHY. Ask yourself: Why do I want it in the first place? Your why connects you back to how to achieve your goals as well as how to face the challenges and stay motivated.
If you ever feel like giving up think of these 5 reminders. Understand that it’s not just you, this happens to everyone and recognized that you are not alone.
