Victoria’s Secret Gilded Ginger Creme Review

I want to share with you my own opinion about one of my birthday gift I received last June. It is the Victoria’s Secret Gilded Ginger Crème. This is the second Victoria’s Secret perfume I have tried. The first one was the Amber Romance which I really like. And now let us see if I will also like Victoria’s Secret Gilded Ginger Crème.
Product information at the back of bottle.

Ingredients

Gilded Ginger Creme – P250.00

I don’t have much to say with the packaging, it’s not really attracting for meIt smells a bit strongly of alcohol for the first few seconds after spritzing. After that the alcohol fades and the scent emerges I don’t really notice the scent at all unless I put my nose right to my skin.

Pros
  • This 250 ml bottle is good for 2-3 months for a minimal user like me and 1-2 months if you’re going to spray this all day.

Cons
  • The bottle is not so handy to bring.
  • For a person with a sensitive sense of smell like me, the scent wasn’t bad but it was not great for me. It’s literally a spicy smell of a ginger.
  • It doesn’t last all day or even within one hour after spritzing but I guess that is to be somewhat expected with a body mist.

Overall

I don’t bring this bottle at work cause it will add another weight on my bag. So I just spray this on my body before going out. After an hour I noticed that the smell was gone already so this needs to be sprayed all the time. I also don’t really like the smell, I preferred more on sweet scents.

Tips

Apply more heavily if you want other people to notice the scent. I typically use several spritzes all over and a couple more on my arms and neck before work. If you like a stronger perfume smell you’ll probably want to spritz a little more on every couple of hours. Obviously, layering them over a similar body lotion will help the scent last longer.

Where to buy?

There are many ordinary stores nowadays that sell various scents of Victoria’s Secret so you can buy this easily. This is also available at Amazon and Ebay.

Repurchase?

No, I want to try their other scents (sweet).

Rating

I will give a score of 3 out of 5. But because this is a gift for me I will still use this up to the last minute.

This is one of my favorite on VS, pati amber romance, lovespell, sugar something I forgot the name, mignight lovespell.. Currently I’m using their body Rush 🙂 Anyway maraming nagkalat na SG fakes.. medyo iba ang amoy nila and hindi ganun katagal ang scent.

Based on other’s review about VS Gilded Ginger Cream maganda naman. I don’t know if this one is fake or not or di ko lang talaga type yung amoy. Mas type ko pa rin yung Amber Romance.

I do not think I bought this creme from Victoria’s Secret 🙂 I always buy at the mall and their store for my niece in the Philippines. I am allergic to any perfumes 🙁 though I try to avoid where the lotion isle is 🙂

hmmmm the sound of ginger makes me curious…I also do not bring with me victoria’s bottles because they are indeed heavy! wish they will have smaller sizes too so I could bring them everywhere…most of my VS scents are gifts and I am happy with that…there are many I have not yet consumed 🙂 Pays to have so many generous friends..have a lovely weekend 🙂

No scent with ginger for me on typical or casual days! I have a body lotion/cream with ginger content but it’s mainly for massaging or therapy thingy and it is perfect! I have a few fave Body products from VS. I prefer Bath and Body works more. Pero ha, mura lang pala VS dyan?

P.S. sis, dun sa tanong mo po…Phnom Penh is the capital and largest city in the Kingdom of Cambodia. tumira kasi kami dun sis ng 3 years bago kami lumipat dito sa Bangkok, Thailand. 🙂 the name of the restaurant is Singapore Kitchen and its located in Phnom Penh, not in Malaysia…and they are serving Singaporean foods. 🙂 hindi ko sure sis dun sa tanong mo if they have Phnom Penh in HongKong, been to HK pero parang wala. 🙂

Where did you buy this sis? I think the reason why you experience that is you accidentally spotted a fake VS which is all over the place nowadays. I’ve tried it narin that’s why I can compare with the original one. The cheapest you can find for VS like this is around 450 above. Minimum price for VS resellers. I’ve tried a lot of VS products and for perfumes like this, it normally lasts the whole day. Just a heads up! 🙂
