I considered coffee as my partner in crime. It feels like I’m incomplete and can’t function very well without it. It played a big part of my life during my review days for Nursing Licensure Exam wherein I consumed 2-3 cups of coffee a day just to feel awake and trying to understand the lecture with my close-open-close-open eyes. This is also my partner when I am drafting a new blog post. It helps my neurons to work and give me the right words to type while blogging.
When I started working at Makati it’s every day that I witness my officemates drinking Starbucks coffee while me seating and drinking as well with my 3-in-1 coffee. I know it’s worth buying but I’m afraid to try it because I don’t want to be addicted with a high class coffee. One Starbucks coffee is equivalent to a dozen of 3-in-1 coffee. There is a very huge difference between it for a person like me.
I have nothing against Starbucks coffee. In fact, I believe it’s much healthier than 3-in-1 coffee. What I am saying is that it’s a coffee that isn’t a budget friendly on my case.
One night came, I won on a raffle on our Christmas Party in the office. I received a Starbucks card with Php 300.00 worth of credits in it. At first, I’m not so happy with it and I rather choose to have Ypad (for my little cousin) or anything that I can use daily without spending. Later on, I accepted the fact of having Starbucks card because it’s an opportunity to be with someone that is a coffee lover too.
It’s not my first time to order at Starbucks. Way back when I was working as a personal secretary, we dropped by in front of Starbucks and my boss instructed me to buy a brewed coffee. I ordered for myself too (using my boss’ money hehe).
I was supposed to order a cold drink that I’ve been seeing on other but I don’t know what is it called so I just ordered the same as my boss’ coffee. My first sipped of my first ever Starbucks was so bad. It made me realized that a sugar is needed on that kind of coffee. Luckily, my boss didn’t get mad at me because of my innocent being.
Mocha Frappuccino and Caffe Latte
December 30 in the evening before 2014 ended, we both experienced for the first time that delicious taste of coffee of Starbucks (finally). As I mentioned above, I’m afraid to taste it. And because I already experienced it, it’s now on my budget that I should drink it again! Not every day but maybe once or twice a month or depending on what’s in my wallet hahaha!
Who is Liza? Hahaha!
The promo for getting a free Starbucks planner will end on January 9, 2015. I thinks it’s already too late for me but I will try to get the planner for next year.
Special thanks to Lamido for giving me this chance to taste one of the best coffees here in the Philippines! Cheers!
